🏚️ ABOUT ASHMORE ESTATES

The property began as the Coles County Poor Farm, active from 1857–1869, before evolving through several chapters of institutional history, including its use as an almshouse and psychiatric care facility.

Decades of hardship, institutional struggles, patient stories, and documented loss have contributed to the intense reputation surrounding Ashmore Estates.

👻 WHAT YOU MAY ENCOUNTER

Ashmore Estates has developed a reputation for a wide variety of reported paranormal activity, including:

• Shadow figures and full-bodied apparitions

• Intelligent voices and direct responses

• Class A EVPs

• Footsteps and unexplained movement

• Sudden temperature changes

• Physical touches

• Activity throughout the building and especially in the basement

Ashmore has also been featured by major paranormal teams and creators, including Ghost Adventures, Ghost Hunters, Destination Fear, Kindred Spirits, The Paranormal Files, Mindseed TV, and Twin Paranormal.

👥 SMALL GROUP EXPERIENCE

We intentionally keep our groups small.

This allows investigators more room to explore, investigate, and connect with the location without packing the building to capacity.

Once this event sells out, additional spots will not be added.

Bring your equipment. Bring your courage. And if you're staying overnight, bring your bedding and your own towels.

⚠️ ACCESSIBILITY NOTICE

Ashmore Estates is NOT handicap accessible due to the historic structure, multiple floors, and bunkhouse setup.
